one really bad thing about prediction markets is that they make it suuuper profitable for the government to just, suddenly commit wild atrocities

So there’s a fixed vocabulary of trampolines/gadgets/hot loops, which I bet is shared between games w/ similar engines

The great thing about Matthew Stover’s novelization of revenge of the Sith is the way that he sets up so many little bespoke narrative devices, only to knock them over a few paragraphs later! It’s so fun!
