I suspect that we really do need to emphasize a much more social learning/collaborative knowledge approach to this versus individual understanding, that's the piece that software culture doesn't like to admit though!

And the study performed at Bundeswehrkrankenhaus?

This reads like a parody

it’s on the “animal style” menu.

well-known but not official, you have to know to ask for it during your consult

That post was a message

That post was not a post of honor

The danger of that post exists in your time as it did in ours

This helped me understand, thank you

Quoted post supposes that anti-AI sentiment will become a major factor in left wing politics

Quote post is saying AI tools are currently too popular to foresee anti-AI sentiment taking hold on the left

Is that not directly engaging with the argument? Sure he’s wrong but that’s besides your point

I understand Google considers their TPU tech a point of competitive advantage, there’s no way they would want that division to be spun off.

Google and GDM certainly use TPUs for training

Connection to the users and their desire paths is the most important path of working in security and nobody goddamn does it. You are gonna make compromises. And they're all gonna be worth it. Because you understand what they want and you're gonna deliver it and they're gonna stop doing stupid shit.

(apologies if you don’t see yourself that way, guessing at shorthand here)

this is actually really fascinating, thank you!

I’d summarize your position as being a chuunibyou Star Wars fan, and that’s badass

if my read is accurate, have you given the books a shot? You might especially like the original Thrawn trilogy and Wraith Squadron!

I’m curious what you particularly dislike about the prequels! They’ve grown on me as I’ve gotten older

different circumstances of course, congresspeople generally have more/different power and responsibilities than union organizers, but WHEN TRUST BREAKS DOWN both situations boil down to tension between a small core dedicated group and a much wider audience of less involved stakeholders
November 21, 2025 at 8:20 PM
this is just like union organizing

so many decisions about an early-stage union have to be done in secret and often aren’t transparent because a small core team on the inside is doing work that isn’t visible to less involved outside stakeholders

very similar tensions imo
