Last year I modeled an additional head for my students in Lighting and Materials to choose from to UV, Texture and setup materials and lighting for. This is my version of taking that head to final.

I hadn't really planned on bring Claire into UE, but I did for fun. Then I got more into playing with her materials and trying to do what I did in Arnold in UE. I love how the SSS worked with her glasses and ears.

I don't know if this is a hot take but I feel like Tears for Fears are such an underrated band. Their non radio tracks are just musical gems, rich, layered and complex. They've always been one of my favorite groups.

Last week's AI trend was use a photo of yourself and make it look like you were a gummy. I decided to make Claire a gummy mouse. Sure, it took me more then 3 minutes but I had full agency over the visual look.

Have been digging through some of my very early #Wanderstop work and found this drawing of the tea machine. I can't remember for sure, but I feel like this was the drawing that pushed us into thinking of it as a more Willy Wonka/Rube Goldberg kinda device.

With all the chaos in the entertainment industry, and disruption with the AI hype train, I've just put my headphones on and decided to go back to the basics. Focusing on the fundamentals for now, and perhaps I'll come back up for air when the hype train runs out of fuel.

I listened to the #Wanderstop soundtrack all day to day. It's killing me how good it is. @c418.org you're one talented and prolific composer. I knew it was going to be good, but to hear it in it's entirety is just beautiful.

So I think to kick things off, I may mix in some older things with newer things and just see how it goes. I worked on this scene during the pandemic. I was at my desk a lot more, and so I made it a subject and modeled it. I used this as a piece for learning to use Arnold in Maya. #maya #Substance
