One of the upsides of using unity instead of a niche engine like AGS or rpgmaker is that I can do fancy stuff like shaders and post processing.

The downside is I actually have to learn how to make shaders 💀 there’s a graph mode so I don’t even have to write code but it’s still so alien

Of course, you don’t just get to run arbitrary C code wherever you want; that would be an insane security risk.



But, you *do* have textures. Textures that can hold state.
