Always irks me when anyone acts like TGA means anything.
The Game Awards are not the Oscars of video games. The Oscars miss constantly but at least they are a bona fide attempt by an industry to legitimize and promote itself; TGA is not that, it's just ads for individual products masquerading as an awards show run by one guy's particular preferences.

My phone updated to One UI 7 awhile ago, and I keep finding more to hate about it. They ruined the screengrab feature with pointless AI that makes it so slow. The rearrangement of the notifications menu is garbage. I held down the power button to restart and instead it brings up Gemini.

I confess that I never stopped using WinAmp since '97. It is 2025, and I just found out about this Diablo 2 Resurrected skin for my favorite MP3 player. I think it's the best thing ever.

Most of the internet used to be like this. This is actually the default, it took companies enclosing the internet and adding weird, soul-killing incentives to make people behave the way they do now. In a way, there is truly nothing special about Wikipedia except that it survived longer.

I go back and forth between wanting and/or having a blog. Sometimes I want to write about things in long-form, but when I've done so, I usually come back later thinking, "eh this is junk that nobody cares to read." And there goes the blog.

Resonates in many ways. While I do find LLMs useful for some things, having them forced carelessly into every interface and workflow is tiresome, and feels pessimistic.
Make creative fun things because you want to, because you enjoy making it. And don't call it "content."
