so the thing is. that first page? i did literally months ago and i don't feel like i love it anymore. but i also cannot be arsed to redo it. and maybe i just need to accept that in order to feel like im getting into the groove of things, i will have to make stuff that i'm sometimes not happy with!
a comic of Light and L in the yotsuba arc, the first panel shows L and Light in bed, with their handcuffs. there's a blue hue on the page, it's the middle of the night. L is awake and is looking at Light. in the next panels, L sits up in bed, and looks at Light, who's sound asleep. He calls out Light's name, who's very visibly disgruntled by this awakening. Light, sleepily asks in the next panels, "Ryuzaki, what's wrong?". L does not respond, and keeps looking at Light, so Light turns to his nightstand to look at the time, and finds that it's 4 am in the morning and collapses face first into his pillow and his side of the bed as L continues to watch him struggle. Light moans, "Ryuzaki... can't this wait until the morning.." This page is also still in shades of blue. the first panel shows L sitting in his usual crouching position, while Light is also now sat up against the headboard and pillow, still very sleepy. L finally says "I have been thinking." The next panel zooms in on Light's still very sleepy face, he looks very miserable, having been woken up. A speech bubble of L's words, saying "Are you scared of dying?" is shown. In the next panel, it's still Light's face, but suddenly all the sleepiness left him at the question, he looks confused and lets out a small "huh". Light and L are looking at each other, while Light suspiciously says "What's this about now? Is this another lightning round to figure out if I'm Kira?" There's two closeup panels of L's face then that follow. The first one shows L looking meekly, expression difficult to read but vulnerable in Light's eye, and the second one of him looking away, while he says "Perhaps." the final panel shows L looking away, into the opposite direction now, looking sadder, saying "But I also have been... thinking." Light can be seen still sitting up, looking at him, and asking L, "Are you afraid? Of dying, I mean?"
