I'm increasingly annoyed by authors who make the first book in a series available on a subscription service - Kobo Plus in this case - and not the rest. It feels like they're completely misunderstanding what the scheme is for and are using it as advertising.

They’re deporting US Army veterans.

They say if they’re undocumented, they must go.

Such a selfish group of human beings.

They consider undocumented immigrants “good enough” to go to war and possibly die for the country, but not good enough to avoid deportation.

Ghouls.

The US is traumatizing thousands of kids in detention camps. But we are also traumatizing *millions* of kids who are in hiding or fear their parents being snatched.

Like how we have tens of thousands of kids who have survived school shootings, and a whole generation shaped by active shooter drills.

It was not a stray bullet. That is a cliché used by lazy journalists. The bullet was aimed ay an inept irresponsible gun owner who should never have been entrusted a weapon in the first place.
