Museum collections professional, and former field archaeologist. Happily nerdy player of videogames, writer of fanfic, and purveyor of trivial knowledge.

Just a lover of history sitting here watching as it repeats itself in the worst ways.
Mass Effect has been top trending here for most of the day, and that makes my nerdy little videogame-loving heart so full. Happy #N7Day to all who celebrate!

Okay, so I don't advocate museum theft, at all, ever. But someone in the marketing department is a genius.

It's about to get obnoxiously Canadian up here. The Jays have beaten the Yankees, and I'm in my happy place.

Site for showcasing freshly clipped sheep? You mean ShornHub.
Site for showcasing the best clapbacks on the internet? You mean ScornHub.

Oh, would that this were actually an exaggeration. There are maybe a couple dozen archaeologists worldwide who specialize in excavating thawing sites, and hundreds (if not thousands) of sites to be examined before they degrade completely. Sorry to harsh your buzz, @theonion.com.

There are days when your cat does nothing but purr, ask for food, and nap in your lap whilst you watch tv. And then there are days when he makes a stinky poop while you're in the bath, and pukes on your laptop. Today is the latter 😒

It gives me great joy that even with all the terrible things going on in the world today, #Caturday is still trending, as it does every weekend. So here's a picture of Choco in his favourite pose -- he's clearly not here.

Okay, now *this* makes me angry. You do not screw with the arts and culture. We have enough problems already.
Elon Musk’s staffers are trying to push into the National Gallery of Art. They recently met with the museum’s director and legal team, to question its legal status and explore ways to assert influence. One of the nation’s most respected art institutions is now in their crosshairs.
