(1/6) Hey everybody: For those who don't know me well, I'm a civil servant who works for the state of California. The civil service is the bulk of the gov't and we're hired, not elected. We generally bust our asses trying to do our jobs in spite of politicians; not with them.

I love to write furry romfic but i have this annoying hangup that stops me writing every time, it's so weird. I have this hot idea that probably started as a RP idea but never got played but then when i try and get motivated to write it out, it feels "silly" to me to write it? How do I stop this?

Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.
They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.

I feel like we as furries, but also as a broader society, really need to confront the problematic nature of holding ourselves to two very distinct sets of rules: one for the "elite" or "cool" people and the other for the rest of us plebes.
