Well, this is a new low. We’ve suffered a botched pandemic response and have ongoing lockdown drills in case of a school shooter. Today we got guidance from legal as to what staff should do if ICE shows up at our building. 19 years working in public education and I’ve never seen anything like it.

The thing that scares me most is that although Trump is an idiot, many of the people around him are not. Evil, but not idiots. He is not making these decisions by himself. Even if something were to happen to him tomorrow there would be plenty of other fascist strongmen to fill the void. Terrifying.
