Also evidence that essentially eliminating irregular immigration - as Australia has - doesn't, by itself, stop the radical right.
Nobody in Britain pays any attention to Australian politics, but One Nation overtaking the Coalition in the polls has distinct parallels with Reform leading the Conservatives. Parties on the radical right are coming for centre right parties across the world...

I am wondering if any of the loudest proponents of "learning loss" in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic have spoken up about what ICE is doing to students' ability to learn, safety, etc. I'll wait...I'm sure they're on it.

An entire political movement founded on uncovering hidden messages in documents to discover the powerful secret pedophiles and meanwhile the powerful pedophiles out here sending gmails saying "Hi fellow pedophile when are we meeting to do pedophilia again"
Disgusting.

In an email on Sept. 11, 2013, Mr. Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, wrote to Mr. Epstein, “It was really nice seeing you yesterday.” He added: “Any time you’re in the area would love to see you. As long as you bring your harem!”

Conspiracy theorists always chase after puzzles and clues that can make them feel like The Smartest Person™️ whilst ignoring the actual real-life scandals, atrocities, and suffering. Like pro-life crusaders who ignore people once they're born. It's infuriating!

Very similar dynamic to now, where people in the Trump Administration keep stating publicly, “I am doing this racist thing racistly because I love racism” and the entire media is like “his motivations, what could they possibly be?!”
There’s a darkly funny chapter after Goetz turns himself in where the cops keep trying to give him an out: “You were afraid for your life, right?”

And Goetz is like, nope, I wanted to kill those teens because they are black.

The guy who did it would not shut up about how racist he was!

Can we ban all alleged great geniuses and cast them into outer darkness forever?
The "coincidence" of Epstein's cash payments to Peter Mandelson's partner/husband in 2009/10 and the then industry secretary's lobbying within cabinet for a softer post-crash policy towards bankers looks on the face of it like outright corruption. Certainly demands police investigation.

The immanent contradiction of dominance masculinity is that it both claims absolute authority and strength and also cannot countenance even the slightest challenge.
We need to talk about the rise of "smol bean fascism" where you have all the guns and the immunity but the really scary people are the ones with whistles and phone cameras and they're giving you generational trauma and ptsd by filming you killing people for no reason

Trump's great strength is that the things he does are so obviously childish, petty & vindictive that people can't believe it. They keep assuming other reasons. ICE are only raiding liberal places, which makes zero sense for immigration control but loads of sense for toddler temper tantrum....

The best example of this was last week when Greg Bovino spent an entire rolling between Minneapolis gas stations in a massive convoy, his entourage beating up and tear gassing countless people, posing against the crowds… and then it was all so they could complain we wouldn’t let them use a restroom

Very happy when ordinary people start changing their minds. Very annoyed when political pundits whose whole job is giving their opinion on politics and who have spent the last decade saying the real problem is the left have only now very grudgingly started saying we were right
Bluesky idea: if people who didn't agree with you change their opinions so that they do agree with you, why not be happy that you are making progress - rather than complaining that they are "only just catching up"?

Graham Linehan proves the point that trans liberationists have been saying from the start:

If you'll permit dehumanising and stripping the rights of trans people, you will dehumanise and strip the rights of anyone on a long enough timeline.
This is exactly the same playbook Graham Linehan uses against trans people, where defending trans rights is cast as defending "rape" and "paedophilia." He uses "rape" and "paedophilia" as punchlines, and, therefore, all of his hate speech and advocation for violence against his enemies is justified.

The fact that every right winger with influence screams "who is paying for all of this" tells you exactly how awash in cash they all are, and how much they rely on that to keep their movement afloat.
James O'Keefe says he's never seen anything so organized as the anti-ICE movement, observers--he seems to think this term is code--everywhere he goes. Who is paying for it??? he demands to know. It's like he can't even imagine people caring for one another.
