I’ll bet you dollars to donuts Scott Turner decided the Weaver building was too old and demanded that NSF be kicked of their brand new building.
This is so ridiculously wasteful and I am so angry for the people who still work at NSF desperately trying to hold our scientific infrastructure together.

In terms of directorates, EDU and ENG would see the biggest cuts at 75%, while MPS is looking at a ~67% cut. The proposal also defunds nearly all postdoc programs and slashes the NSF GRFP budget by 55%.

I was just told that I have to remove “climate” from the title of an ongoing grant if I want to keep it. And publications from that grant cannot include “climate” and other forbidden words. I can’t believe I’m writing this from the United States of America. #AcademicSky
