NCAR is quite literally our global mothership.

Everyone who works in climate and weather has passed through its doors and benefited from its incredible resources.

Dismantling NCAR is like taking a sledgehammer to the keystone holding up our scientific understanding of the planet.

Unbelievable.
Trump moves to dismantle major US climate research center in Colorado
The Trump administration is breaking up the National Center for Atmospheric Research, taking aim at one of the world's leading climate research labs.

One question, one follow-up was a COVID invention. We couldn't scrum properly, so that's how govt ran phone press conferences.

Now govt uses it to limit reporters' ability to press officials. It is govt control over media. That's why I don't like the mic system. Bring back proper scrums.

Week four on the picket lines with these education heroes. 💜

Educational support workers are still out fighting for the fair wages and respect they deserve.

It’s time for a deal.

Keep writing. Keep calling. Keep demanding better for these workers. And for our kids.

Tariffs, sure.

But also the Canadarm should extend its middle finger.

And we should officially add a "u" after every "o" in US place names on Canadian maps (New Yourk, Califournia, Washingtoun, Ouhiou, etc.)
More than anything, what I'm looking for at 6pm ET in Canada's response to the Trump Tariffs, is creativity.

I want to see clearly that our government understands this is something more than a standard tit-for-tat trade war, and is willing to act accordingly.

Just a reminder that your local library has more than books! Many also have dvds, cds, video games, game systems, internet hot spots, streaming services, ebooks, audio books, park passes, museum passes, and so much more! Maybe it's time for a visit! ❤️📚

Okay, but in the Grinch’s defense, if I spent 53 years with neighbours that spent every Christmas morning blowing their who-whoopers, banging their gar-dinkers, beating their drum-dinkers and slamming their slew-slumpers, I’d be ready to snap too.

Oh NO! It doesn’t mean what you thinks. The curtains in the wings that hide you from the audience are called “legs” the real story is from vaudeville and if you got to go on that night you “broke” the leg - ie got to go past it to go onstage! It really IS good luck. The real meaning has gotten lost!
Maybe along with the skinning of cats and the killing of birds with stones we can once and for all also retire the "break a leg" expression before performances. Why is everything so grisly and weird

Dammit! The shrinkflation has hit my house! Classico pasta sauce jars shrink 50ml! AND! They've changed the lid. Old lid was standard for canning. Made it an eminently reusable jar. New lid uses the shit lip. This is a travesty!
