lately for myself personally, I am disenchanted with rote categorization and labeling and am struggling to be more interrogative of my own feelings on things, enjoying uncertainty and making connections. I think people have offloaded this too much in pursuit of cheap validation which is in abundance

Lain is the first anime series I've watched that feels like I'm missing a component by not viewing it on the diffuse pixel pattern of an old CRT television. perhaps even ported over to VHS first
the HD files on a modern display feel a bit flat and sterile, like an instrument in the music is missing
