Sincerely hope my supervisor, mentor and examiners think the same, because the job market is not improving...

I'm not surprised he's French and I'm not surprised he's a dude. This is the symptom of everything that is wrong in French academia where your worthiness is measured in: 1. how critical and (violently) negative you are about your colleagues' work, 2. how many pages you can write.
An academic disliked an Oxford Very Short Introduction (145 pages) in his field so much that he wrote a 200 page book review attacking it. www.pierre-legrand.com/ewExternalFi...

A positive experience with research applications today: it appears that more research bodies and units are questioning quantity-driven publications and are changing the way they evaluate academic relevance 👏

Speakers of French: the professional categorie of "cadre" I find tricky to translate. I'd say that this could be translated as the professional managerial class, but this feels anachronistic. What do you do?

Absolutely outrageous what is happening to modern language departments in the UK. Nottingham is known for the quality of its French department. Please sign the petition:
From AULC, we stand in solidarity with colleagues at University of Nottingham. We want to share this petition by a student highlighting how suspending all Modern Languages undergraduate programmes affects the whole academic community: www.change.org/p/stop-the-r...

In an installation, entitled "Have you met my friend?", I am in dialogue with Didier Éribon to address the inequality that women face in academia and intellectual life.

In the installation, I used Troy Vettese's piece on sexism in the academy, putting it on the walls in King's College (Cambridge)
