I think I wrote "to my wife" in the acknowledgements of my PhD, in reference to the lesbian usage of the word (i.e. a dear friend).

I had the chance to talk about the piece with Vettese himself. I asked him: but didn't you mind writing the article being a man? He said he wrote the article being appalled by the stories his women friends told him and that if there was anything he could do to help, it was to write it 🙏

I hope that you mean to designate people who would be able afford to spend the money on US manufactured good. That people buy cheap clothing is also related to other prices of basic needs: housing, education, health care...

Don't you think this also has to do with costs rising for other needs: such as housing, education and health. If those weren't skyrocketing, people could afford more expensive clothing.

It's funny you say that. I did my PhD on Malabou. I think her early work is very good, but I wouldn't follow her in her recent anarchist turn.
