I don't know about you but I am very sick of worrying about the future. I want a competent BORING government.

@durbin.senate.gov Make it clear that is ability to continue as U.S. President depends on him taking an off ramp. Get a backbone. Stand up. Do what is needed for the good of the country.

Danish Parliament Deputy Speaker Lars-Christian Brask:

"If I could come with some advice, it would be for the Senate & House to start to take control of political power in America because with this erratic & mad behaviour, you have to ask the question, is the President capable of running the US?"

On the money. Dismantle DHS. Constrain CBP to ports of entry only. Fire ALL existing ICE. Rehire with much smaller staff dedicated as public servants.
No. We don’t need to “modify ICE training.” We need to close DHS. Dismantle it. It’s an outdated expensive bureaucracy that’s been usurped by violent white supremacists. Shut it down.

Youngest daughter just accepted an entry level engineering job at a major manufacturer. She's just a junior so I'm pretty proud. She's full of dread though....

Youngest daughter is agonizing about whether to accept an immediate job offer for a job she doesn't really want versus waiting a couple of weeks to hear about the job she really, really wants. Welcome to adulthood baby-G.

The thing is, some people can make mistakes, get things wrong, be careless, etc. But that’s not what Jennings did here. Jennings knowingly, purposefully and intentionally lied to utterly distort what was said, which CNN pays him to do every day. CNN is the enabler of this.

Like, Trump could drop dead of a heart attack tomorrow, and the damage we've already done to our allies is already likely unrepairable in my lifetime.

The same with Trump attempting to use the power of the US government to attempt a second coup - *even if he fails badly in that attempt*.

Yes!
semi-regular reminder that ICE was only created in 2003

when you are asked to imagine a world without ICE, you're basically being asked to remember where you were when Lilo & Stitch came out

Congress should pass a law requiring agents to show their faces, identify themselves, & wear their badges. It’s not agent safety we have to worry about these days.

End so-called Kavanaugh stops & admin warrant-based forced entry into homes too. Let’s have a Constitution.

Maybe Minneapolis should simply decide not to plow snow. ICE wouldn't be able to get around.

Martin Luther King Jr. was disliked by a majority of Americans during his lifetime; in 1966, about 63% of Americans viewed him unfavorably. Roughly 57% of Americans said sit-ins hurt the cause of integration. The March on Washington had 36% approval. All of these methods were peaceful protests.

We could use Ike's wisdom right now.
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."
