I was disgusted to see a Department of Homeland Security TV commercial encouraging Chicago police officers to quit and go to work for ICE for $50,000. I doubt many will give up secure union jobs with protections under state labor law to be at the mercy of deranged people like Trump and Noem.

I can’t speak for every city, but here in LA, ICE bounty hunters aren’t going after gang members. They’re hunting the vulnerable: gardeners, street vendors, day laborers.
