Historians have a terrible habit of saying “the source claims X, but because X is far too interesting/unlikely, it mustn’t have happened, instead we’ll assume Y, the boring thing for which there’s no evidence” & I want to grab them and scream CRAZY STUFF HAPPENS ALL THE TIME! EVERYBODY’S CRAZY!

For real though, if you're a fan of amazing games writing you *gotta* keep an eye on Harry's work. No less than three times in the last year I finished something amazing, then looked at the credits and went 'ah yeah, there he is'.
I was really happy with the way the Vagabond’s story turned out - anyone who’s played House of Many Doors knows I love it when an RPG companion has their own agenda, but Failbetter let me dial this up to 11 with Old Tom!

If you want a weird but true fact to talk about:

Dexter Holland, lead singer of The Offspring, was instrumental in this. His doctorial thesis in molecular biology was sequencing mRNA in HIV. The paper was also heavily cited in creating the COVID-19 vaccine.
It feels like we should be making a bigger deal of “we actually did in fact find a cure for AIDS”
