Let me explain it to you. Mitchell's the man. I'm the idiot. You're the screw-up. And we're all losers. Welcome to Music Town.

Yes. I do not want to ever 'move on' again. Every time we turn the cheek, overlook the criminality, absolve the sins, they come back worse.

I want punishment. Deterrence. Retribution. Err on the side of excess, not lenity.

Anything less is asking them to come back worse yet again.
Democrats should be running on:

SCOOP: The State Department's new reorganization plan includes the opening of an "Office for Remigration," a term popularized by far right extremists and neo-Nazis in Europe. The office will coordinate directly with DHS "to advance the President’s immigration agenda."

My report:
State Department set to launch ‘Office of Remigration’
The concept of remigration has explicitly neo-Nazi roots and has been popularized in Europe.

This is—it bears repeating—ethnic cleansing and a war crime. It feels utterly pointless to say, and roughly equivalent to screaming into the void, but the United States should not be supporting or providing any aid to a state that has ethnic cleansing as a policy position.

Indeed. When's the last time Trump spoke about a complicated subject in a way that would get a passing grade in a college class?

Heck, just this morning is this post, which presumably had the benefit of staff feedback and editing. This would get a "not fit for college" note to the dean.

Within a short period of time we have gotten to a political system where SCOTUS has given the President broad immunity, and Congress says clearly impeachable offenses are "not my lane."

We have got to stop comparing Trump's targeting of enemies and attacks on speech as "McCarthyism" when it is so far beyond what Joe McCarthy ever tried.

*Arrests for engaging in non-violent speech
*Destruction of government capacities
*Massive economic uncertainty and damage
*Unprecedented targeting of government power against political enemies
