To be honest I am amazed at how powerless US federal workers are. They have to work without pay. If they strike they are sacked and black banned for life. This is just wrong. Forced to work without pay is slavery. If they eventually get paid there is no penalty on the govt for missing payments

Early voting in the NYC mayoral election begins TODAY.

If you're a New Yorker, I urge you to vote for Zohran Mamdani — the only candidate who will stand up to the oligarchy and fight for working people.

Listen to his inspiring words from primary night.

I am not sure why so many rural people are anti EV. it might not be the right choice for them but so many of my friends doing road trips look for nice towns with charging facilities to spend time (& money) rather than their ICE counterparts filling up at the big stations and not seeing or spending

We are often told farmers don't want renewables. It has always been paradoxical to me. Perhaps it is more the narrative than the reality??

Getting to net zero relies on the bush. Rapid change can create tensions – but media framing and vested interests have inflamed the situation.

I asked this a year ago and got howled down. Are you Americans still comfortable that you have told your government which way you generally vote? I know why this is done, but I'm from a country where the secrecy of the ballot is fundamental.

Well, if discussions about Charlie Kirk are resulting in crackdowns, we should all go back to something safe like demanding a release of the Epstein files.

Woodside’s North West Shelf gas export project is a disaster on five fronts:

🟠 Driving up WA energy prices
🟠 Threatening WA's domestic gas reserves
🟠 Paying even fewer royalties - down to just 0.6% of WA revenue in 2027-28

The science has always been good.
Climate models since the 1970s nailed it—most predicted global warming almost exactly as it happened.

Tradie - my apprenticeship wage is pretty poor, but I'm learning for the future.

Nurse - wait what?? I have to pay to learn (HELP) and when I do work (placement) I am not paid a cent.

A nurse is never going to out earn a sparky.

Tell me again how privileged we are to go to university. #auspol

It is sadly ironic that MAGA's believe that the place is run by
paedophiles and they voted for The rump to stop it. Just turns out that the paedophile ring was run by one of his mates. So they actually ended up electing the very people they were trying to take down. #epstien
