MSN and the rest of the media need to start reporting about the Climate Crisis and turn this damming media trend around.

@allinwithchris.bsky.social, @jenpsaki.bsky.social, @maddow.bsky.social maybe you all could suggest the MSN website add reports on the Climate Crisis, The Guardian is doing it.

More fuel for the fire.

The mine would see about 85m tonnes of coal exported over 24 years. Burning the coal overseas to make steel or electricity would release about 236m tonnes of CO2 – the equivalent of almost half of Australia’s current annual footprint.

“Uncertain tipping thresholds make precaution essential, as crossing them could commit the planet to a hothouse trajectory with long-lasting and potentially irreversible consequences.”
February 11, 2026 at 4:28 PM
“Earth’s climate is now departing from the stable conditions that supported human civilization for millennia. Crossing critical temperature thresholds may trigger self-reinforcing feedbacks and tipping dynamics that amplify warming and destabilize distant Earth system components.”

“The world is closer than thought to a “point of no return” after which runaway global heating cannot be stopped, triggering climate tipping points, and a cascade of further tipping points and feedback loops, lock the world into a new and hellish “hothouse Earth.”
