Gov Newsom thanks for standing up to the authoritarian bullies on the right. Weak-kneed Democrats in the Senate could learn from your example how to really fight against the people who would destroy our Democracy.
Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.

I will not support the Republican bill that’s on the Senate floor because it fails to do anything of substance to fix America’s healthcare crisis.

Democrats tried to pass a bill I co-sponsored to pay ALL federal workers – but Washington Republicans blocked it because they want to give Trump the power to decide who gets paid.

City of Reno's "FY25 Fleet Replacement Program" for 59 new vehicles included 3 EVs, 5 hybrids, 18 police fossil fuel cars, 3 other gas cars & light trucks. Given the average police officer drives 40 to 80 miles per shift & the average EV range is 250 to 300 miles this is a huge missed opportunity!
