Ich suche den Locus classicus zum Konzept von Dialekten als "geronnene Sprachgeschichte" (neben Neuerungen erhalten Dialekte auch Archaismen der Sprache). Wichtig die Metapher "geronnen". Hat das z. B. Theodor Frings irgendwo entwickelt? Über eine einschlägige Literaturangabe würde ich mich freuen!
