@kenwhite.bsky.social really looks more sympathetic towards anti-trans ideology and people more than he is to trans people… I want to believe otherwise but everything tells me that this guy is perfectly okay with the fact that the law allows deliberate misgendering of trans kids at school.
So you're saying is that you can 100 support trans people's humanity, but not their equal rights in a free society, because the equal rights of trans people are currently at the center of a legal and political debate, they're disputed, and there's no consensus. Right?

If this were said about any other minority group, I would expect at least one major media outlet to push back on it.

It’s time for trans people to start our own medical provision system based on mutual aid, dyi and work outside the increasingly fascist system.

Also, this is I think the first time I've seen Maya / Sex Matters actively come out and say that they don't think transition should be allowed for adults either? It's always been 'well adults can do what they want, we are worried about the children' - not 'this is a failed model that doesn't work'.

There’s also tons of overlap between ableism and transphobia too just look at the blatant ableism used as a justification for denying trans kids access to care (E.g. the autism ‘argument’)
i got blocked for criticizing this but this shit fucking sucks. i'm a disabled trans person and the idea that trans people are somehow privileged in public and political discourse is wild. this kind of resentment kills solidarity and makes spaces unsafe for trans disabled people

Trans Safety Network are concerned to see that NHS England have committed to expanding the role of the National Research Oversight Board for Children and Young People’s Gender Services to cover audit and research for adult patients too.
