3 years ago today, Riot Games offered me a job making more money than I ever thought I’d make in my life. I had 19 interviews over 2.5 months to get it. Partner and I were moving to LA for it. I put in notice at my job and apartment.
2 weeks later they rescinded the offer due to “headcount issues”.

This afternoon, IWGB Game Workers joined together with unions from all over Europe, including @stjv.fr and @csvi-cgt.bsky.social to protest against Rockstar's union busting in Paris - on est là!
Protests continued today outside Take Two's offices in London, but also in Paris, where Le Syndicat des Travailleureuses du Jeu Vidéo (@stjv.fr) came out to show their international solidarity with the fired Rockstar workers.

The UI was designed in Europe, the game director is in the US- Nobody could agree on what date format to use, so I unified the entire game on YY/MM/DD- That way nobody’s happy! Highly recommend using this format, feels powerful.
