These people like John Fetterman have one religion in common: Wealth.
Its credo is that a person’s worth is directly proportional to the amount of investments you have.
If you don’t invest, and you live off of a salary instead, they don’t give a shit and are contemptuous about you. #EatTheRich

@fetterman.senate.gov and the traitorous 7 can fuck all the way off. Our premiums are going from a manageable $385/month to $1961/month due to subsidies not being extended.
I live in PA, so his refusal to listen to constituents like me whose premiums are increasing by 500% is infuriating.

This is true everywhere, but especially true in parts of the country where the prevailing cultural trait is frugality, even when it isn’t lean times. Like Pennsylvania Dutch, for instance. Building anything luxurious or extravagant is madness when the grocery store prices are high.
What brings voters together in NJ for Sherrill, VA for Spanberger, NY for Mamdani, and even GA for the two Public Service Commissioners? AFFORDABILITY. While Trump is focused on building a ballroom and remodeling his bathroom, Democrats are laser-focused on bringing down costs.

There is enough there that the wealthiest 400 Americans could put poverty in the history books if they so desired, with $2.4 trillion left over.
Hoarding wealth while others starve is unconscionable. #EatTheRich

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.
The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.
Read that back.
When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

Just had an awesome moment;
There was a knock on my door. Two ppl I didn't recognize were there. Asked for my help. They'd heard that one of my neighbors (whose SNAP benefits were cut off) needed help with food and they wanted to drop some off for the family.
Totally awesome. 💖

We should be able to agree that there’s nothing wrong with someone on SNAP treating themselves or their kids once in awhile
The idea that if you’re poor you must never have a “treat” reinforces the notion that poverty is a choice and a failing
It’s neither, and we shouldn’t police anyone’s food

May Trump stub his toes and whack his kneecaps on the Lincoln bathroom marble in the middle of the night every night until he’s gone.
The Lincoln bathroom looks inappropriately gaudy at a time when Trump is creating a famine for lower income Americans.
Fuck that guy.

If our congressional representatives hated poverty instead of hating poor people, we would all be better off.
Instead we have self interest instead of actual representation.
Remember this on Election Day.

For us, ~$390 to ~$1960
A 500% increase.

For the record, the Kaiser Family Foundation has NOT retracted it‘s prediction. Oz was either mistaken, or, more likely, lying.

The bottom line is that the GOP absolutely cannot be trusted to deal with any societal problem.
They lead with cruelty and focus exclusively on how to package private greed as public service.

Trump complaining about CREW @citizensforethics.org , which is literally an ethics watchdog org that tries to minimize corruption in DC, says everything you need to know about how unethical Trump is 👀
Never in the history of the US has any president openly and repeatedly called for the investigation, arrest & prosecution of his political opponents. While many continue to shrug these things off and normalize them, I will never stop pointing out that this is what autocrats do.

And the GOP in the Legislative branch (plus DINO @fetterman.senate.gov ) don’t gaf since they’re getting a paid vacation.
It’s infuriating. They need to go.
It’s infuriating. They need to go.
About 670,000 federal employees are furloughed, while about 730,000 are working without pay. Amazon says it will let go 30,000 this week. SNAP gone. Heath Insurance unaffordable. Trump, Republicans and the Broligarchy are destroying the USA in front of our very eyes.

Meanwhile states like PA are still only required to pay $7.25/hr (the fed minimum wage).
And before anyone retorts with “yes, but most places pay far more than $7.25/hr”, I’ll remind you that the scale should START at a living wage, which is closer to $25/hr, the equivalent to $50K/year.

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.
Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.
The people who need help are not the problem.
It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

The end result is complicity. But people in political cults do not realize that until it is too late."
