What did you smell today? I smelled synthetic civet. People are always jokingly saying something smells like ass, but this stuff smells like concentrated ass. If I were making a perfume called Elderly Sick Cat Sleeps on Your Face, this would be my top note.

Wouldn't it be something if settlements from AI companies ended up becoming something like a functional UBI for artists and authors

OpenAI then deleted the dataset with the pirated books, and employees sent each other messages about doing so.
A lawsuit could now force the company to pay $150,000 per book, adding up to billions in damages.
