This is Cathal Duane's cover to @mike-eagle.bsky.social 's "Dark Dark Purple Tape". It's not on YouTube or Bandcamp and Starburns Industries Press made only 50 copies in 2018. There's one copy for sale on Discogs for $100. Stare at this sweet sweet art with me

Plus: a diptych of Rimbaud's poem "Flowers" printed on wallpaper and in Braille behind glass; a 24-inch ruler printed at 150% size; and a letter board with a building directory for Hell. (Hugh Brown is not in fact part of the exhibit, he just happened to be there that day.)

Mr. Gumby, 2007. I had previously dressed as Mr. Gumby in 1998 and went to a party where, unbelievably, I met someone who'd dressed as the green Gumby of Puppetoon fame. I walked up to him, bellowed "Hello Mr. Gumby!", waited a beat, then wailed "WOOOOAH!" in terror and ran away

In "Dark City" humans live in a city designed by aliens based on often fallible human memory, which is why when Jennifer Connelly's character sings "Sway" in a nightclub the lyrics go "When marimba rhythms hug the shore / Hold me sway / More more more / Be-bop-a-lula, Fame / I'm gonna live forever".
