I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this until today. This is what science is all about. I call it “Operation Intergalactic Yeet”

A manhole cover launched into space with a nuclear test is the fastest human-made object. A scientist on Operation Plumbbob told us the unbelievable story.

I’m thrilled with Bluesky. My feed is fun. It’s great to see writers and agents here. And so far I’m not bombarded with politics and news. I’m here to be inspired by and interact with creatives.

Let's talk dialogue. There is nothing that will take you out of a story faster than badly written dialogue or not being able to keep up with who is saying what. Yet how we write dialogue isn't always how we speak.

So how do we write dialogue in a way that is engaging and real?
I’d really like to know more about how to write a conversation between two or more characters. For example, how often should you identify the character speaking by name? And should it always be “said Mary” for example or should there be variations on that?
