Having had an ID card while living in Spain and The Netherlands I can't tell you how much EASIER it makes everything. It links your ID with medical records, immigration, council, even parcel delivery and banking. So much simpler!
I realise the audience for this would just be "me, and also maybe other foreigners" but I would love to read something on why Brits, who are happy to live in a country where their every movement outside is filmed by CCTV, hate the idea of having ID cards, something plenty of countries happily have

I've been talking to a variety of schools and associations this new term about the lectures and workshops I offer (if you're an educator in and around London, do hit me up). Looking at these photos is making me smile. I know many authors hate the limelight but I bloody love an audience!!

I got to meet Terence Stamp twice through work. He was the most charming and suave man I've ever met.
Worth remembering that Terence Stamp was the son of a ship's stoker.
Stamp desperately wanted to act, after falling in love with movies as a kid, and it was a scholarship to Drama School that allowed him to walk that path.
Every time arts cuts are made, they rob us of more Terence Stamps.

Yeah, because he didn't have to manage 6 different social media accounts and make stupid content in Canva with info graphics about fruit flies and videos entitled 'Follow me as I explore the Galapagos islands.' No, he was left alone to actually write stuff!
