When Gary Neville says "you wouldn't see this in under 9s or under 10s football" - you would though, wouldn't you. In an U9s game I once saw a goalkeeper shout to his teammate, as the game was going on, "JAMES, HAVE YOU FINISHED CHARLOTTE'S WEB YET?"

Last year I got talking to a man at a party and our conversation turned, as so often, to The Beatles. It turned out that years ago he had done some work on George Harrison's garden at Friar Park. He didn't meet the great man, but did meet Olivia, who was lovely. Anyway ... (1/3) #TheBeatles

The Labour party has published adverts on social media boasting about deporting “illegal” migrants, alongside a Nigel Farage-style ‘Breaking Point’ picture of a queue of migrants

Another advert includes a picture of a handcuffed ‘illegal migrant’, which promotes and links to an article on GB News
Keir Starmer's Reform-Lite Strategy Reaches Breaking Point
The Government's attempt to mimic the anti-migrant, anti-refugee politics of Nigel Farage is a recipe for moral degradation and defeat

Labour to release video footage of deportations today.

Is akin to the Go Home vans?
No, it’s akin to Donald Trump.

If Trumpist hate turns you off @teamlabouruk.bsky.social NOW is the time to tell them so.

I have a season ticket and attend as many games as I can but I secretly enjoy it more when my football team go through poor patches of form. I love moaning & arguing about the club. When we are winning games there's simply not as much to talk about.

Feel like this team almost picks itself for tomorrow.

Kelleher/Alisson

Bradley
Gomez
Quansah
Tsimikas

Endo
McConnell

Chiesa
Elliott
Diaz

Jota

Strong enough to win and rests basically everyone. Not a single Cup shock yet this weekend, which is slightly unnerving 😆

This guy had the nerve to spend much of 2015-2020 moralising about anti-semitism while at the same time sending anti-semitic messages to his Labour chums on WhatsApp, as well as racist and sexist remarks. The whole thing is just a game to most of these amoral hypocrites.

They might still win but how bad does it have to get until Teflon Ruben starts to be held accountable? It's unbelievable. 😂 He's been give a completely free pass for making them even worse - which didn't seem at all possible. Anyone/anywhere else the manager would be getting absolutely slaughtered.

A cup semi-final almost completely devoid of jeopardy, testament to how good we were again tonight. Made up Szoboszlai is starting to add goals and assists to his game. He's an absolute machine - last 10 seconds at 4-0 up he was charging back to chase down one of their lads. Love him.

In the midst of my annual-ish Elliott Smith binge, brought on by this book (excellent btw). His music never fails to blow me away. He was a singular, all-timer talent. One of the greatest to do it.

It's like a fucking fairytale
As it stands, Manchester City are 26th — two places outside the play-off zone and on their way out of the tournament.

Extraordinary. They trail Club Brugge at half time. A huge 45 minutes coming up for Pep Guardiola's side.

Really enjoyed chatting with @cspaceduncan.bsky.social about his beautiful, deeply romantic new album that draws inspiration from 1970s love songs, Bernstein and French New Wave cinema. 'It's Only A Love Song' is out now on @bellaunion.bsky.social
“I love the idea of something being so romantic that it almost hurts.”

There is no doubt the PGMOL need to be better and, probably since VAR was introduced and certainly since that copper Howard Webb took charge, it's been a mess. It's OK to say and think that. But this shit is completely deranged.
The PGMOL got Sky Sports to delete posts and the entire British Press to write articles about abuse Michael Oliver received weeks ago, then David Coote randomly decided today is the day to release a statement. But we're supposed to believe they're not a crime syndicate?

Just saw this album turned 10 years old yesterday. Incredible how that time has flown. Such a gorgeous and timeless record, and all the more curious for the fact she made just one more album before disappearing off the face of the earth.

The vile, sadistic crimes of this rape gang will not make national headlines, or trend on twitter for days. Govt will not have to account for failures to protect its victims.

And all of us are less safe, because there is a concerted campaign for us to focus only on perpetrators with brown skin.
Grooming gangs and csa are weaponised as part of certain bad faith actors attempts to make them seem race, religion or "integration" based. They aren't. Main offenders are actually white anyway. When you make them about race you risk ignoring other abusers like these.
