Going off of Odasaku and Mori’s examples here, the key to interrupting Dazai’s thought spirals seems to be agreeing with him but implying he would leave an embarrassing legacy if he acted on the thought

don’t get me wrong i support good old fashioned rule 63 for no reason other than that you would like to see it but i do think genderbending is most fun when this would change or further some existing aspect of the character. like what would him being a woman Mean here, etc.
