Good morning. Something to ponder. Why does this 90’s cover of Interview With The Vampire look like it has Robin Gibb and John Barrowman on it? Hilarious.

My Dad was a volunteer EMT for our small town and in the 90’s he delivered a baby in the back of an ambulance. He talked about it until the day he passed.
This Ambulance has stork decals, one for each of the babies born in the back.

Pre-disco Bee Gees.

Absolutely outstanding live performance.

"Lonely days, lonely nights" is a banger. Starts sad and mournful but the energy levels increment slowly, but live as well, the energy levels increment greatly.

It started in Sept, 1977 with How Deep is Your Love, through the end of 1979 with the Spirits Tour, Tragedy, Inside and Out reaching #1. Barry Gibb's songs were No. 1 for 27 out of 37 weeks from 24 Dec 1977 to 2 Sept 1978. He is the only songwriter in history to write 4 successive US No. 1 hits.

The roll-out here is hard to believe. Stigwood talked the studio into releasing HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE on Sept 17, 1977, three months before the film's premiere. The B side is a live recording from the 1976 Children of the World album. So random... No photo cover. But of course it took off.

Despite the backlash that the disco genre and culture was met with in the late ‘70s, the brilliance of ‘Saturday Night Fever’ is perennial.

On this day in 1977, the 'Saturday Night Fever' soundtrack was released with hits like "Stayin Alive", "Night Fever", "How Deep Is Your Love" and "More Than A Woman", defining the sound of the disco era.

It would be House 1, except I’d like to switch out The Cure for Talking Heads. (I’m not a big fan of The Cure, blasphemous I know.)

It does feel a little bit like the author of that article, Yvette De La Cruz was reading our thread about Kenny, Dolly, the Bee Gees and Islands recently. 😂

FINALLY!
A very decent write up of Islands In The Stream. My only nitpicking is a mention of Marvin Gaye, however, it’s not exactly as bad as you think. Anyhoo, enjoy!

If he wasn’t the Great White Hope, his presidency would be DUNNNNNN by now.

He has literally bulldozed the economy, the value of the dollar, the job market, our trade relationships, our diplomatic relations, our national security…there is literally NOTHING he hasn’t ruined.

Not even the WH.
