Wonderful news.

Probably for the best that I graft remotely tomorrow.

Another yellow weather warning, hurrah.

Aha, yeah.

Every job I've had in the private sector with the exception of nightshift contract we had back in 2017/8ish was very much a case of a load of hokum with a thousand unwritten rules that you had to follow nonetheless.

Current position in the public sector is so much more straight up.
“We’re a team that values honesty and direct communication” lies neurotypical job advert
A job advert written by a neurotypical HR manager is actually a big sack of stupid lies, sources have revealed.  The advert, which claims that the company values honesty and direct communication, and ...

Dear human on the bus,

Whilst no doubt whatever reel or tiktok you were watching was no doubt of paramount importance to everyone else considering how loudly you were to share it with all of us, I actually can't remember any of us actually opting in.

Please use headphones, dash it all.

First day back in the office in 2026.

The job itself is perfectly workable but the commute out and back to and from Mahon leaves one awash with acute ennui.

The weather is absolutely poxy as well.

Please send a bus, TFI, or else (veiled baleful words, fill in the blank)...

The world right now is a shitty and horrible place but I still haven't completely given up on the world actually becoming a better and kinder place so I am compelled to remain whimsical.

I am close to my limits, mark you.

Lord have mercy on the common man, it's absolutely freezing this evening.

Thankfully we haven't had any rain here in quite some time so despite the fact that it's 0°C outside, the footpaths remain accessible and walkable.

We have snow due this week, apparently.

Not the biggest fan.

It's 3 degrees Celsius out there and I see folks swanning around in shorts.

Granted it's actually dry and there's a fair bit of sunshine but it's close to freezing point and folks are cavorting about like it's July.

The minds of Irish people during winter time are truly unfathomable.

I post this every year on the 31st of December but now more than ever these words have a lot of weight attached to them.

You're all superstars.

This Christmas was so soft.

None of us have actually opened our presents yet. We can wait, being under the same roof is frankly enough of a pressie...

Lazy, gentle and soft.

Having a dearth of common sense can often work in your favour. Last minute Crimbo presents obtained.

Going to explore the city for a spell. Xmas Eve in Limerick is chaotic but oddly magical.
