I am so heartbroken 💔 After months of biopsies & 2 surgies, Po’boy was diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma. As a stage 4 cancer patient myself, I do not have the means to pay for his radiation treatment. He has been my constant companion.

Please help me save my baby 🧡🐈 #cancersucks #cancer #cat

A leaked memo reveals that DOGE's next target is the VA, with plans to fire more than 80,000 agency workers who provide critical services to veterans and their families.

More than 25% of agency staff are veterans themselves.

How is this "efficiency"?

Clinical trials have been delayed, contracts canceled and support staff fired. With deeper cuts coming, some are warning of potential harms to veterans.

Poor lil shrimp has been going thru it. We had 2 ER vet visits a month apart. 1st, they found a mass with 9/10 chance of being a sarcoma. Miraculously it wasn’t. Surgery, tooth removal & ICU stay. 2nd, developed an abscess & collapsed. Drain, flush & ICU. Please l Send my baby some healing energy 🧡🤍

I guess I should start posting here. I haven’t because it feels intimidating for some reason. Like everything I post needs to be something important and not just my random thoughts.

A 67 year old amputee and wheelchair user lived with his son who had cerebral palsy.

They were killed in the Eaton fire while waiting for an ambulance that never arrived.

Many disabled people can not evacuate on their own. They need to be included in evacuation plans (yet almost never are)

I'm in Pasadena, smelling the #EatonFire. I activated the group text for a disaster group that planned together last year, checking in, seeing if anyone needs help. One person has been evacuated and needed help. We all felt better for doing something. Helping neighbors is the most powerful response.

The U.S. government already knows how to be ruthless. Never forget that.

This photo of a man on a mountain of bison skulls has circulated for years. Biologist Victor Scheffer said it best: “Nature needs millions of years to create a species; man needs only a few dozen to destroy one.”

The combined net worth of America's twelve wealthiest people passed $2 trillion last year.

12 people. $2 trillion.

Meanwhile, U.S. homelessness increased 18% in 2024.

Our problem isn’t an issue of resources.

Our problem is ever-expanding wealth inequality.
