Well that’s what THEY want, isn’t it? To bully the intelligent people out of positions of authority?

Two-ish weeks on a CGM. I am honestly more frustrated than before because now I know my blood sugar randomly in the middle of the night rises for no good reason. I don’t think that can be explained by insulin resistance. 😠

The slow returns from highs I get and I’m working on solutions for that …

THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at Stanford University have developed a dual-antibody treatment that remains effective against ALL SARS-CoV-2 variants by targeting a less-mutable part of the virus. This breakthrough could lead to longer-lasting therapies that OUTPACE viral evolution. 🧪🧵⬇️

When Amazon launched in 1995, there were 5,500 indie bookshops in the U.S., with 7,000 locations. By May of 2023, that number had decreased to 2,185 indies & 2,599 locations.

When you purchase audiobooks via Libro.fm vs. Audible, you directly support indie bookshops. Let's make that number grow ❤️

Really, really cool photo taken by the IM-2 lander "Athena" earlier today, 1 March 2025, as it makes its way to the Moon for a landing attempt on Thursday.

Note the pretty blue marble in the background...

So thankful for our village of found family. Just got our smoke detectors replaced - most were from 2006!! 😬🤨 They were supposed to replace all of them when we bought but apparently decided to just lie.

Can’t get back to sleep. (Well I probably could if I tried but I have a rare two days off in a row so I can sleep in.)

So I’m making a list of all the series I am reading and want to finish. In no particular order:

The Empyrean - Rebecca Yarros
The Sky Seekers - Larissa N.N. Davila

Day 1: Witch Origin Story, or What brought you to Witchcraft?

As a teenager I went through a lot of loss. The Challenger Explosion started it, then several classmates and friend over the following few years. It pushed me to some very dark spaces looking for answers.

Just caught this brat on the stove trying to scavenge off the pans from cooking dinner. After returning to bed, he hopped up beside me, laid down and started purring as if he’s not in SO MUCH TROUBLE. I hate that he’s so cute and dumb and trusting. Stupid orange fluff.
