An uneasy deal has been reached at COP30 in Brazil which makes no mention of pledges to phase out fossil fuels.

Well, this is pretty terrifying. The Daily Mail is buying the Telegraph.

One massive consolidated right-wing media empire controlled by off-shore interests at a critical moment in global politics.

What could go wrong?

The youngs don’t understand that Aotearoa in the 1960s-70s was shaped by Sunday afternoons watching a World War 2 film about the Luftwaffe/RAF/war in the Pacific/US marines on the single-channel TV.
Or ‘going for a drive’ to explore new suburbs/the country.
Or gatherings with 1000 cousins

Another leadership hopeful skittled. Like dominos this week.
Mitchell's pack of lies about the emails is starting to unravel.

"He has also maintained that the 36 complaint emails sent to him were diverted by police staff seconded to his ministerial office under a protocol set by Coster, meaning neither he nor his political advisers saw them."

(1/3)
Mitchell’s electorate office replied to McSkimming accuser’s emails
Nearly half the emails alleging serious sexual offending by former deputy commissioner Jevon McSkimming went to Mark Mitchell’s electorate office - and at least one was answered by his sister - months...

no reason this couldn’t work in NZ!
“Helsinki hasn’t registered a single traffic-related fatality in the past year…Citing data that shows the risk of pedestrian fatality is cut in half by reducing a car’s speed from 40 to 30km/hr, city officials imposed the lower limit in most of Helsinki’s residential areas & city center in 2021.”
Helsinki just went a full year without a single traffic death
The capital city is Finnish’ed with car-related fatalities.

I can replace a collar on your fave, worn out shirt. Usually this is friends & family only but it's *such* a good "person who has everything" Christmas gift and I can fit 2-3 in before then if you mail em in. I've got navy, black & white linen.

US$ 11 billion a year could build climate-resilient health systems, costing less than US$ 2 per person worldwide.
