Make no mistake:

Alligator Alcatraz IS a concentration camp, and they absolutely ARE planning genocide and ‘ethnic cleansing.’

As a white person, i don’t know what I can do to help, but if all I have is my voice, I will make sure it’s heard.

You shouldn’t need to be energized into voting against fascism. Plenty of black, gay and Jewish people voted for Harris without being pandered to and despite not having their all of their wants/needs met, why couldn’t everyone else show up?

I love comedy. I’ve performed comedy. It has been dear to me since I was a teenager. I’m 30 now. Last night’s Shane Gillis show in Vancouver was essentially a Klan rally. Left early, got shitfaced at a local bar with my gf and thought about how imperative it is that progressives organize right now.

Shooting down the most impactful way to reduce drug-related fatalities perfectly illustrates how conservative leadership is not interested in protecting our friends, our children or our community members. Conservative administrations are increasingly void of accountability and empathy.

People like Malcolm Brodie are completely and unashamedly out of touch with their humanity. You know damn well that if the mayor had a family member with a potentially fatal addiction he would make an attempt to help them.

The lower mainland has been experiencing the worst opiate epidemic in the history of North America. In 2023, BCEHS paramedics responded to OVER 42,000 overdose/poisoning patient events for the year. It averaged out to 116 calls a day.

Richmond could have had a safe injection site, but Malcolm Brodie-who has been mayor since 2001- slammed the door on a conversation that would have saved lives and kept more drug paraphernalia- such as used needles- off the streets.

People with substance abuse issues are not a burden on society. Capitalism seeks to extract outrageous amounts of money from the working class while simultaneously scapegoating drug users in an attempt to cause infighting and keep regular people distracted and angry at other downtrodden communities.

"One of the great tragedies of mankind is that morality has been hijacked by religion. So now people assume that religion and morality have a necessary connection. But the basis of morality is really very simple and doesn't require religion at all."
