🧵 Pulse oximeters overestimate arterial oxygen saturation and provide more variable readings in people with darker skin pigmentations.

Despite guidance from the @fda.gov, the reporting of participant skin tones in pulse oximeter testing has been inconsistent.

After being on the care team for a patient with tetanus (unvaccinated). No child should have to experience that hell. Sadly, it will take people seeing their own children in tetany (see below) to understand the importance of vaccines.
