TMNT Fan club welcome letter (with alt text!) from 1988

"The bad guys don't always wear costumes."
A typed letter with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles logo at the top that was sent to kids who signed up for the TMNT Fan Club in the 80s and 90s which reads: "Dear Concerned Citizen, Congratualtions. From this day forward and for the next twelve months you are an official member of the Turtle Force. This title confers certain responsibilities: as an honorary reptile you must do battle with the forces of evil wherever you may find them. You must always be ready to fight for truth and justice, and where truth and justice are not immediately at issue you must remember to behave yourself. To help you live up to these lofty expectations, we've enclosed your Official Turtle Force Fan Club Kit. In it you'll find an exotic array of Turtles paraphernalia, including a limited-edition Turtles mini comic book, a color Turtles sticker, your official Turtle Force membership card and wall certificate, and, of course, your official Turtles bandanna. Membership also entitles you to a one-year subscription to the Turtles' official newsletter, The Chaos Chronicle. Your first issue should be arriving soon, so keep your eyes peeled. And again, congratulations. Your fan club kit will provide hours of fun and moral guidance. Read it, learn it, live it, and be careful. The bad guys don't always wear costumes. Sincerely, P.J. #TMNT: Mutant Mayhem is quickly running up my personal list of Turtle movies.

I watched it once and it was good, but upon 3-4 subsequent viewings (perks of having kids), I think it’s really, REALLY good.

Music, comedic timing, action, the ARTWORK! So good.

im watching a thing about how superhero stories should be period pieces so that you can mold the world to be more like the time that birthed them

not necessarily literally that time period, but like something retrofuture or like a Final Fantasy world that resembles ours but is also very different

Question for my fellow #TMNT fans? There's an unopened box of vintage Playmates TMNT. It was originally sent to a toy store, then moved into a storage room on the date marked on the box (1991) and forgotten until now.
Do you buy it and open it, to see what's inside, or leave it sealed?
A large cardboard box with green print on it from the Playmates factory in China. Stock NO: 5000 The old cartoon "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" logo Figures and Accessories Pack: 24 Toys The box is sealed with clear packing tape. Someone has printed in black marker in the corner of the box "TMNT 7/14/91" There is an old fluorescent yellow sticker that says "PRIORITY New Product Assortment! RUSH to Toy Dept!"
