This could fully pass for something on Clickhole, but it’s real, and I love it. Even down to his name.

I’m going to wilfully delude myself into thinking that the #5 most streamed song this year was the ninth track of Evanescence’s 2006 masterpiece ‘The Open Door’
Most streamed songs on Spotify globally in 2024: #SpotifyWrapped

#1. Espresso
#2. Beautiful Things
#3. Birds Of A Feather

I keep seeing a lot of people saying they don't enjoy using the internet any more. If you feel that way, my advice? Reject the ecosystem that Google and Amazon and the big apps try to trap you in. There's a whole indie internet out there! NeoCities, MelonLand and SpaceHey are great launching points!

while we’re at it, those bathroom signs with like, pants, dress, and alien symbols on them that say “i don’t care as long as you wash your hands” are also reductive and transphobic, and people should knock that the fuck off too.

The dusty fedora in the back of my wardrobe whispering to me like the Green Goblin mask:
I know a lot of you are gonna think it’s cringe or whatever, but annoying atheism has gotta make a comeback.
The ruling class knows their survival depends on indoctrinating the next generation, which is why they're forcing archaic religious texts like the Bible into classrooms to suppress any critical thought and reinforce obedience.

My Spotify Wrapped is going to be so weird this year. Everyone get ready for a surreal mishmash of Chappell Roan and Gilbert & Sullivan!

At times like these, I like to think about XTC’s brilliant song ‘River of Orchids’:

“I had a dream where the car was reduced to a fossil
Take a packet of seeds, take yourself out to play
I wanna see a river of orchids where we had a motorway
Push your car from the road”

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

I, a very silly non-American, watched ‘Planes, Trains, and Automobiles’ this evening because I thought you folks had Thanksgiving today.

Turns out it’s a week from now and you’re just posting about the food already, which is possibly the most relatable thing I’ve encountered on this app so far.

Then I installed Bluesky about five days ago. Now I’m spending too much time on my phone again 😭
