I swear Windows just gets dumber & dumber.
The best version was Windows XP, it's been downhill ever since.

Just installed something that rebooted.
Want to run it, can't find it anywhere. I remember there was 'new' label in apps list once, not now.

Running a new app? Not a thing, it seems.

Always so unimpressed with bio's mentioning being a parent.

Like, that's something teenagers can do on the back seat of their parent's car without even meaning to.

Want to brag about an achievement?
Tell us you've been fucking each other for 10 years and never got pregnant. That's an achievement.

I am at my wits end.
Had a reminder yesterday of important Dr appointment today.

Checked two reminder in Calendar app. They are still there.

Neither reminder sent a notification. Phone on the desk next to me all day, didn’t make a peep.

How the fuck do I get iOS reminder to fucken remind me?!

This rant brought to you by Ampol.
The survey for their app that lets you pay for fuel/charging at the pump.

Frequently says there are no pumps at the servo you're at.
ie. unusable.

Telling Ampol staff at the counter gets an indifference so powerful you'll doubt your own perception of reality.
Don't cha love the company surveys that totally avoid asking anything about the aspects of their service that actually need improving.
They're the same ones that never have a general "tell us anything" section.

The survey delivers glowing satisfaction without finding anything that needs fixing.

It’s that time of year when the blue balled Koel hangs out near my house and calls day & night.

There isn’t a time of day when he hasn’t been heard, even midnight & wee hours of the morning.

It's tough avoiding the triggering right-wing bullshit.

Even on this platform there are so many dickheads cross posting the crap, going, look how bad these guys are.

You're either very stupid or completely ingenuine spreading their bullshit to everyone who never wants to see it.

Man, Microsoft Edge is an evil piece of shit.

It has been obsessed with storing my credit card detail every time I've purchased something. I always say no, that way I don't have to worry about some rando using my computer buying stuff.

I keep forgetting the every where else in the world Liberal means forward thinking sensible person.

In Australia it means science denying right wing nutjob. Sometimes also means christian extremist, xenophobic, homophobic misogynist.

You can’t afford a coal mine.

You can’t afford a gas turbine.

You can’t afford an oil rig.

Only fossil fuel states and billionaires can.

But you can afford a solar power station on your roof.

Now, ask yourself why you encounter so much anti-renewable energy propaganda.

I’ve weighed myself on digital scales before and after a dump many times.

No matter how impressed I’ve been with my performance on several occasions, scales have never shown a different weight after.

Granularity of the scales is about 400g, guessed from other observations.

I have zero expectations for LNP - and they exceed those expectations every day.

I did however have some expectations for Labor - and I now feel completely betrayed.

I truly didn’t think they would be this bad.

Could and should be so different 😞😞 #auspol

Climate crisis is so bad Bill and others like him won’t accept that it’s true.
The truth is so catastrophic they fund those trying to prove otherwise, because they won’t accept reality. They can’t, it threatens everything they hold dear & care about.
Their billions can’t stop it, if it’s true.

Thing about rich people and taxes,
they love to complain about it,
they just don't really care about it.

Tax just doesn't affect them in any significant way.

It affects their accountant more. They'll spend more avoiding tax than the tax they should have paid.
It's what self-centred arseholes do.

Since the mid 1990s, Norway has imposed a 56 per cent "special tax" for oil and gas companies, alongside a 22 per cent corporate tax rate.

Australia could learn a lesson from this and make companies pay their fair share for our natural resources.

Wow, nearly 90% of jobseekers got a job and experienced the dignity of employment.

A huge number of jobs are seasonal, retail and hospitality around holiday times.
Primary production around harvest times.

Jobs not being long-term are a normal part of our economy, always have been.
