I am at my wits end.
Had a reminder yesterday of important Dr appointment today.

Checked two reminder in Calendar app. They are still there.

Neither reminder sent a notification. Phone on the desk next to me all day, didn’t make a peep.

How the fuck do I get iOS reminder to fucken remind me?!

In some update it became a setting that is on by default.

The extra option to save the CVV security code is also on by default.

Microsoft default security for user's credit cards is to be as vulnerable as possible!

Not only do we need to watch for scammers, we need to stop Microsoft helping them!

What really surprised me is the PV starts producing as soon as the sky is bright, within minutes of sunrise.
The panels aren’t even facing east, more NW but the sun hits them almost side on.

is this a typo?
Sentence would make more sense if it was "isn't"

Hell of a typo that means the opposite of the point being made.

I knew it!
Just like Wizard of OZ taught us, she doesn't have a heart.

Thanks FaceBook sponsored links.

One of my boys, an ex stud no less.

A couple of his kids got to be the hero cat in a Whiskers TV commercial.

First ever hole pic, enjoy!

Digging with sledge hammer and crowbar in really hard rock.

Didn’t allow for trench already dug and went way deeper than needed.

All this cardio workout and fitness for nothing.
Thanks ADHD, got me again.

Gold Coast Sake festival at HOTA.

So far just about every taste has been 10x nicer than anything I’ve been served in a Japanese restaurant.

It should be.

Here's a kitten in a bowl.

Why is it every major software producer has to include their moronic opinions as a feature?

No, Malwarebytes I don not want to update the exclusion list to let this risky site be accessed forever!

Let me access this one time.
It's either got what I need and I'm done, or it doesn't and I'm done!

If you need a wee, this video will help.
Now with bonus soothing bird sounds.

This is the least cloudy day in the last 10 days.
Production peaks at 11:29 am until 13:02 pm.

Interesting change in gradient at 16:21 pm as one set of panels are no longer in setting sunlight and the other set are facing the setting sun more directly.
October 29, 2025 at 9:50 PM
So WTF is going on at 1:23:05 am on 29th?
Also 1:17am on 30th.

Actual power production started at 05:39:24 am.

Moon set was about an hour earlier, the sky was at its darkest when Inverter woke up.
The following day it was 06:03 earlier at 01:17:02 am.
A little more than sidereal diff of 4 minutes.
October 29, 2025 at 9:39 PM
Really interesting that Solar panels start making enough power to turn the inverter on just before sunrise, about 3 minutes before daylight at 4:56 am.

Actual power production starts at 6:02 am.
Slightly anomalous, production on previous days started between 05:15 am & 05:20 am. Hazy horizon?

Crazy what media outlets do to language. It’s supposed to speak simply so below average readers can still access news.

Here the headline simplifies some amazing double negatives.

“rolling back its output cuts”, ffs.

Well, it is the 22nd and we’re in the restaurant at HOTA.

Do like standup comedy a lot more than hubby. He’s always a bit reserved going in and always really enjoyed it coming out.

Only ever seen Rob on QI, live should be fun.

Just how many ways can MyGov fuck your cybersecurity?

Another recommendation is to remove password sign in.

If you rely on MyGov code generator app, be sure to securely transfer security BEFORE you lose your phone, or accidentally break it!

You’ll have a world of hurt trying to get access again.
October 21, 2025 at 1:34 AM
Bad cyber security advice from MyGov too.

No, do not change your password just because it's old.
Bad idea, every time you change your password is an opportunity to pick a weaker one.

If it's strong, leave it alone. Swapping a strong one for another does nothing but increase the risk you forget it.
October 21, 2025 at 1:25 AM
Cyber security is very hard for public servants.

I think its because common sense is basically not allowed in the public service (worked in PS for a while, so bored I left after 3 months).

Security notice that you logged can only be read if you're logged on.
Malicious actor simply deletes it.
October 21, 2025 at 1:11 AM
Am I reading to much into this, is it really just gross incompetence?

Trying to give feedback but the feedback form doesn't work.

Certainty that I'm not a robot only lasts for 60 seconds. After that all bets are off, I could be a robot now.
Not sure what I was for the 60 seconds I wasn't a robot!

Dan busy coding with claude.
October 14, 2025 at 7:57 AM
Nothing says “I don’t give a fuck” quite like the developer that defaults birth date to today.

Just how many new borns are signing up for MyGov ID?

Next time gov.au totally fuckup tech, you know just many fucks we’re given to ensure it works.
Age verification clusterfuck is brewing right now.

Alarming news from Noosa Council.

Notice includes a touch of gaslighting to ease the pain of their negligence.

No, Noosa Council, you a not proactive, you are reactive to the event.
Had you been proactive this would not have happened!

First week we're in our new house we heard loud wooshing and came outside to see this from the back yard.

It came down in the dog park at the bottom of the street.

That was 18 years ago, hasn't happened since.
