I no longer care what the forecast shows, no indoor dining out, no concerts, no large gatherings indoor or out, we mask up...period.

This is life now. Cheerful huh?

The pathobiology grants were—I was going to say “among the” but nah they were just straight-up the most exciting work RECOVER did. This is a knife in the heart of that scientific project. I’m bereft.
The administration has canceled 45 RECOVER #LongCOVID grants. These grants examined pathology, & were vital to understanding infection-associated chronic illness as a whole.

Half of those with #LongCOVID at 6 mo. meet criteria for #MECFS. 🧪

Update on Long COVID research funding: Per researcher and advocate @themegascope.bsky.social, funding for at least 45 different RECOVER studies have been terminated.

RECOVER is a $1.7 billion program that serves as the single largest federal funding mechanism for long COVID research.
