The way Labour are operating, Starmer will be contemplating replacing McSweeney with Mandelson.

If Starmer is worried he won't have anything to do whan he is ousted, I suggest he gets a Macabi Tel Aviv season ticket, he could take Tommy Robinson along, they would get on famously.

something quite bleakly funny about Rachel Reeves apparently being extremely good at chess when her entire tenure as Chancellor so far has basically been "well this seems like a good choice right this moment.......let's not think about the further implications of that choice for even one second"

Remembering 2004, when right and left came together to attack Charles Kennedy over his opposition to the Iraq War. The Sun called him a "spineless reptile" while The Mirror put his head on Thatcher's body. Lab and Con MPs, united in support of the Iraq war, laid into Kennedy and the Lib Dems.

People saying Starmer needs to get his message across and state what he believes.
He is a former human rights lawyer who doesn't appear to believe in human rights, certainly not for Palestinians.

Starmers vision to join the enlightened ...using VPNs is legal in most countries, including the UK, USA, and Canada. However, some countries have banned or restricted VPNs, and their use can be illegal in certain contexts or territories, such as North Korea, China, Russia, Iran, and Iraq.
The British government admits it is now monitoring VPNs use by UK residents. Regulator Ofcom has contracted with an AI-powered surveillance service to detect the number of citizens using VPNs to evade the Online Safety Act.

The UK tech minister has said a VPN ban is on the table.
Exclusive: Ofcom is monitoring VPNs following Online Safety Act. Here's how
Ignoring VPNs risks creating ineffective laws, but tracking them threatens people's privacy

The reason Starmer is likely to be dumped is nothing to do with Streeting being a better option. It is the fact everything Starmer and McSweeney do is making it less likely their mps will get re-elected.
Being a one term mp is hardly consolation for being part of this historically awful Government.

TBH I am past caring about Labour, anyone still in the Party is not worth voting for, but they need to replace Starmer before he actually starts a national riot.
Everything he does and proposes is making things worse.

A senior Labour source has warned now is not the time to be challenging the leadership.

IF Starmer is still in charge of Labour next election he is much closer to Reform than the Greens,on immigration, austerity and HealthCare, perhaps a coalition between the last few tories and Labour would be a better match.

Many people don't realise that dementia is not just forgetting things, it also gives false 'memories' of things that never happened. My late mother's false memories were much more upsetting than the forgetting.
The US is in a predicament, nobody knows what #Trump is thinking at any instance.

Sir Keir Starmer has been specifically named in a UN report for complicity in Israel's genocide.

The report states that the UK government played "a key role in military collaboration with Israel... a collective crime... with detailed knowledge and cooperation in the destruction of Gaza." 🧵

What’s happened here is that, by sticking to their guns and refusing to be intimidated and shitehoused, the club and police have thankfully prevented Parliament and the press inciting rioting and running battles in the streets of a major city.

Labour polling is so bad that is just family and friends (some with fingers crossed) that are saying they will vote for them.

They are at least motivating people.. as people i know that have never or rarely, voted are now saying they will participate to vote against Starmer.

My wealth has increased by 25% since June. I have done absolutely nothing to earn this. I just put it in a tracker fund. I will be taxed on that gain at a lower rate than during the Thatcher government.
I’d pay more tax to make this country better and stop Putin in his tracks.

I'm not sure it's legal for Zohran to get elected.

The Treaty of Connecticut (establishing the Yankees/Red Sox boundary) clearly states that Boston must have pizza and bagels bad enough for New Yorkers to make fun of and New York must have a mayor bad enough for Bostonians to make fun of.

When the Press and Right Wingers say we have the highest tax burden in history i think, so we should, inflation has been rampant, just simple maths alone should explain it.
It is true of NHS expenditure also.
Tax the Rich at proper rates.
To paraphrase Starmer, If they don't like they can leave.
