I have not always followed the nfl, due to TV subscription costs, but as long as I remember Detroit have been on the wrong end of strange decisions.
Is there a reason?

You could make practically every bus route in England free for the cost of extending the fuel duty cut.
Reeves says petrol is still expensive.

So the 5p cut in fuel duty will be extended until 2026, she says.

Great. So polluters get to continue to poison us. Yet EV drivers get penalised with pay per mile.

🙃

Climate change. What’s that?

The only thing to look forward to next year is the end of Starmers Labour Party. It was great watching Truss, Schapps and Rees Mogg get booted out, but the May elections will surely be the end of Starmer.

I am utterly convinced that the 137th benefit crackdown in 20 years is exactly what is needed and will turn the UK economy around.

Its great that the UK has started to jail mps who have taken bribes from foreign governments. Lots more to go at...

People saying Johnson was dithering...
These fuckers weren't dithering they were delaying the inevitable.
If they were honest they would say they wished they never locked down at all.

Typical Guardian..Labour tries to capture working-class reform voters, but less effort trying to retain middle-class progressives. Being progressive is not middle-class.
Neither is being working class being anti-progressive.
Farage and Tice are not working class heroes.

The way Labour are operating, Starmer will be contemplating replacing McSweeney with Mandelson.

If Starmer is worried he won't have anything to do whan he is ousted, I suggest he gets a Macabi Tel Aviv season ticket, he could take Tommy Robinson along, they would get on famously.

something quite bleakly funny about Rachel Reeves apparently being extremely good at chess when her entire tenure as Chancellor so far has basically been "well this seems like a good choice right this moment.......let's not think about the further implications of that choice for even one second"

Remembering 2004, when right and left came together to attack Charles Kennedy over his opposition to the Iraq War. The Sun called him a "spineless reptile" while The Mirror put his head on Thatcher's body. Lab and Con MPs, united in support of the Iraq war, laid into Kennedy and the Lib Dems.

People saying Starmer needs to get his message across and state what he believes.
He is a former human rights lawyer who doesn't appear to believe in human rights, certainly not for Palestinians.

Starmers vision to join the enlightened ...using VPNs is legal in most countries, including the UK, USA, and Canada. However, some countries have banned or restricted VPNs, and their use can be illegal in certain contexts or territories, such as North Korea, China, Russia, Iran, and Iraq.
The British government admits it is now monitoring VPNs use by UK residents. Regulator Ofcom has contracted with an AI-powered surveillance service to detect the number of citizens using VPNs to evade the Online Safety Act.

The UK tech minister has said a VPN ban is on the table.

The reason Starmer is likely to be dumped is nothing to do with Streeting being a better option. It is the fact everything Starmer and McSweeney do is making it less likely their mps will get re-elected.
Being a one term mp is hardly consolation for being part of this historically awful Government.
November 12, 2025 at 8:42 AM
TBH I am past caring about Labour, anyone still in the Party is not worth voting for, but they need to replace Starmer before he actually starts a national riot.
Everything he does and proposes is making things worse.

IF Starmer is still in charge of Labour next election he is much closer to Reform than the Greens,on immigration, austerity and HealthCare, perhaps a coalition between the last few tories and Labour would be a better match.
