Yesterday I posted my last ever Tweet and called on the Government to do the same.

Read more below on why I think it’s time to leave the cesspit formerly known as Twitter.

It is time to leave the cesspit formerly known as Twitter
Grok is just one of many reasons why Westminster should finally get off the website.

It's great to see action starting against dangerous pavement parking. Now we need: A clear definition of what "unreasonable obstruction" means; Effective ways to enforce against obstructive and dangerous parking; Enforcement against pavements being broken by heavy vehicles.

Coming back to this with my car hating hat on because it's worth noting how often right-wingers have used vehicles to attack protesters, and in fact, Republican lawmakers have passed laws that shield drivers if they hit protesters. Like this one in Florida.

I have a facebook account for work. It is 100% dormant, no activity, no groups, no commenting or posting.

And yet it was flooded with crime, depression, fighting, anti-social driving, anti-social behavior, football hooliganism, adult content.

Uninvited, powerful and anxiety-inducing - all day long

It's time once again for my annual #treebybike post. This is the 12/19/42 cover of @newyorker.com, so one full year after the attack on Pearl Harbor. This would be the first real Christmas alone, or without a family member, for millions in the US. Gas and tire rationing had begun earlier that year.🗃️

Count to seven, slowly in your head.

That's how long I was visible, approaching the junction on a large black and yellow bike with a hi-vis helmet on and they still started to pull out when I was parallel to the side road - literally 2m from the bonnet of the car
A 1km journey to take my kid somewhere on our cargo bike and I was close passed and then almost T-boned at an incredibly slow junction.

It would honestly take me longer to set my action camera up to catch these people than the journey itself would take

Do drivers not think that use of the roads is worth paying for?

"Well I drive 2000 miles a week, that will cost me £____!"

Yeah...that's the point

If you offered me the public transport network of Japan BUT I had to take their food and beverage packaging, I honestly would have to give it some real thought

The textbook radical anti-car cyclists our culture despises.

Anyone who claims that the solution to road safety for cyclists is simply for them to be more skilled and assertive should be required to demonstrate that they are more skilled and assertive on a bicycle than Tour de France Femmes green jersey holder Lorena Wiebes.

No need to be observant in an urban environment folks.
No need to read the road markings.
No need to slow down as you approach a junction.

Technology's got your back 😅
In tight spaces or heavy traffic, it’s not always easy to see who’s near. Active Side Collision Avoidance Support uses radar to detect cyclists or pedestrians on the sides. If someone’s there, it warns you or even steps in to brake if needed so you can keep others safe, even when visibility is low.

#Klimaatadaptatie💧

If you are caught driving in a cycle lane it should be an immediate 30 day driving ban along with a fine depending on the severity and risk posed to others.

Bitter motorists, you can’t have it both ways with your endless whining “why don’t cyclists use the cycle lane?”.

Parking on zigzags and mounting the pavement.

All to put up or take down the latest advert for McDonald’s.

This could be prevented if ordinary citizens could submit this stuff quickly and simply through an app. It would massively transform our public spaces for the better.
