Eagles mock draft on PFSN using PFF board. Most needs addressed (can easily pick up a low cost TE2 in FA). Picked up extra capital by mid round trade backs. Definitely needed a backup for Lane (Isaiah World) who has inside potential, Rutledge also fortifies guard depth which is an area of concern.

Excellent win for Tiberi, bided his time and then pushed on when others were starting to tire. Really managed his effort well on what is a brutal climb. Surely a permanent fixture of this race. Great watch.

Those steeper gradients on mid to long climbs still a problem for Remco. Looked good initially to follow the moves but then cramped up.

On this evening’s Newsnight Zia Yusuf’s whole rationale for abolishing the Equalities Act falls entirely on discrimination of “white working class boys”. Performative posturing to create/deepen a sense of grievance.

This Mens Freeski Big Air final is just something else. Pushing the very limits and full sending it.

Bringing the Velogames Warm Up Championship to a close with Volta ao Algarve and Vuelta a Andalucia starting tmw. Algarve is a stacked startlist and intriguing to see how next generation talents like Widar and Seixas get on against some of the world’s best GC guys.

Firm in the belief that the best Velogames Algarve team doesn’t include either of the top 2 pre-race favourites (Almeida and Ayuso). You can build one hell of a strong lineup without them.

There’s a few giveaways here to confirm it was an illegal electric motorbike and not an e-bike.

Shame they weren’t picked up by the journalist, all it would have taken was a bit of basic research.

Early prediction for Volta Algarve. Ineos will have 5 riders in the top 15 (possibly top 10) of Friday’s ITT.

And whilst that’s great, it still doesn’t change the fact that Jim Ratcliffe can go f*ck himself.

Ended up changing my team last minute for Velogames UAE Tour, so ended up going with this. 4 sprints and possible ITT points for Vernon too good to pass up.

The very best skeleton sliders, whether it’s Janine Flock or Matt Weston, barely move their bodies an inch through their run. Totally locked in and it’s extremely noticeable against the sliders in the middle of the pack.

Does anyone have any updates regarding: Tour de la Provence Stage 2? Are they actually going to race up the full Montagne de Lure, where the upper parts are frankly treacherous with the snow?

Stop Palantir taking over our public services!
Our public services aren’t for a secretive profit-hungry US tech firm. Sign the petition to tell the Government to scrap all contracts with secretive US tech firm Palantir.

Absolute perfection from Matt Weston. Straight as a die, completely in control and ice cool under the pressure. What a moment, truly special 🥇

Absolutely amazing finale in Provence. Bais and Tendon showing steel and craft just about holding off the peloton in nasty conditions. What a win for Tendon.

Driver on the course at Provence, nearly takes out the breakaway coming round a blind bend. Unacceptable and hopefully something we won’t see again during the race.

Obvs in the US, a path to certain tragedy, when you keep giving dangerous drivers another chance (or several).

4 at fault collisions through mobile phone use before going onto kill. Absolute failure.

It gets worse, release upon serving just 2 1/2 years of a 9 yr sentence.

This flies in the face of Rachel Reeves speech yesterday. About as basic as economics get, you can‘t grow the economy if a significant % of the population have little to zero disposable income. The ongoing trend of Labour’s epic mismanagement of expectations.

Made a few changes re: Velogames Provence and Murcia and a bit more confident both teams are good to go. Taking a bit of a risk with Provence as I think there’s a fair chance the Montagne de Lure climb gets shortened, which if so will make a big difference to GC. Anyway, here’s what I’m going with.

The Daily Telegraph:

Going out of their way to make the roads more hostile for cyclists.

Fanning the flames of ignorance and manufacturing outrage, without any care or responsibility to the real world consequences.

Complicit in emboldening dangerous driving attitudes.

If you give the keys back to someone who’s used their vehicle as a weapon, you’ve told them their behaviour will be tolerated and they’ll most likely do it again.

Abolish the hardship defence. If whatever (excuse) was so important to them, they’d have never have risked it in the first place.

This is a prime example of what I refer to as “judicial leniency“ towards dangerous drivers.

It’s baked in, a self fulfilling prophecy which continues the cycle of road violence. Every year, month, week, day robs families of their loved ones, without even the merest semblance of justice in return.

Was a great final stage in the Tour if Oman and flash back to this time last year, Astana fighting for WT survival in what seemed to be a complete long shot.

A year on and they’re winning GC with Scaroni at Tour of Oman, whilst clearly being the strongest team in the race.
