It’s pretty weak sauce that Tillis isn’t going to run again after being attacked by Trump.

But on the other hand he knows it is a cult. He could try really hard and campaign well to lose to a guy who played football at NC State named Gork with an IQ of 50 and 30 sexual assault accusations.

This is not just true of Louisiana, every GOP controlled state has higher rates of Medicaid usage and more at risk rural hospitals.

Coming from Appalachia Ohio, the two hospitals closest to my ailing parents, one of which is managing stage IV cancer, will likely close if this passes.
Every major health system in Louisiana is warning Speaker Mike Johnson and the rest of the state’s congressional delegation that the Senate GOP’s planned Medicaid cuts “would be historic in their devastation.”

🧵 It’s really awesome that Zohran won. Historic upset.

What’s even better in the midst of this is a huge endorsement for rank choice voting and what it incentivizes in our politics.

#Merica Got this great shot driving down Berthoud Pass. It was a no look just grab the phone and shoot a bunch, but it turned out to be one of my favorites.

It reminded me that political struggle is a lot like that. You just keep showing up and pushing and one day all that didn’t matter mattered.

Which is why you need to give $5 more dollars like right now. You too can have the secret decoder ring to GOP tax policy.
Trump and House and Senate Republicans are united on this:

They want to give their billionaire buddies a tax break and have the American people pay the cost.

Democrats are fighting to expose it.

Someone’s cellphone playing “Margaritaville” for thirty seconds while they rummaged around in their bag to try and silence it during the land acknowledgment at a Martin Luther King Day service felt…metaphorical.

Why is the knee jerk reaction to tech company media entrapment is “We just need another company to save us”?

Distributed protocols already exist, the Fediverse already exists, IndieWeb is pushing for making social a protocol level of the internet.

This feels like Lucy and the football.

I know fabulist means a person who lies, but it seems homophobic when they use it against Santos.
