I’m always excited to see young people get engaged in politics. Parks and Rec has ruined me a little bit though because every story about a young mayor makes me think “ice town costs ice clown his town crown.”
Two Gen-Z electeds just made history 🗳️

➡️ Mekkai Williams, fresh out of Hempfield High, helped flip the school board blue for the first time ever.

➡️ Jayden Williams just became the youngest mayor in Stockbridge, GA at 22.

This is what investing in young leadership looks like.

My lukewarm take on Prop 50 passing:

Democrats cannot be expected to engage in unilateral disarmament in the face of egregious Republican gerrymanders elsewhere in the country.

Especially important public service reminder on Halloween: you don’t have to like candy corn. Just know that you’re wrong and your life is worse from not enjoying it
Now that it’s October I just want to gently remind everyone that candy corn is amazing.

If the Supreme Court rules to limit the Voting Rights Act, then many US states could use this as an opportunity to redraw their congressional districts.
